All The Right Moves

Throughout All The Right moves, Steffen Djordjevic, a cornerback on a football game team out of Ampipe PA is face with obstruction after obstacle in his quest to get away(p) from his hometown, and make something with his life. He is a B student that his just chance of getting out of his small town, is going to college. With academic scholarships not an option, and his parents not being able to afford college for him, Stef turns to football as his way out of Ampipe. The Movie was released in 1983, and showed the hardships that go along with playing football in such a small town, where football is such a big fibre of the towns weekly lives.
Even though the word picture mostly takes place after the big game happened, you behind still feel the anxiety and pressure that the game say on this group of young athletes. The scene that stood out to me was when Stef was public lecture to Coach Nickerson after the game and the coach belts the loss on other people rather then taking the blame upon himself. He says, A fluke? That pass interference penalisation was no fluke. If you had done it the way I taught you, they never wouldve scored, and we wouldve won that game. Youre just as responsible as he is. This is after Nickerson had blamed the person for fumbling the ball.



He is to a fault blacklisted because of his jumpicipation in the desecration of Cooch Nickersons yard.
Stef isnt the exactly pseudo on the team that goes through hardships that could be psychologically damaging to a young person. Many people on the team are faced with the coach blaming them for some part of the loss, and others are forced to make decisions that could change their lives forever. One player has to make the decision to marry his pregnant girlfriend, and give up any hopes of getting out of their small town. Others are faced with charges of armed robbery, and have to admit that they made a erroneous belief and live with the consequences.
